How To Play Football

Football is a pretty simple sport to play. Durning playing time each team needs to have 11 players on the field. The team with the ball is the offense. The team trying to stop the offense from moving the ball or scoring is the defense. The offense has four play to gain ten yards. If the offense doesnt gain ten yards by then it is a turnovers on down. Unless they decide to punt the ball on 4th down or kick a field goal if there in range.

In football there is 3 different ways in scoring. You can score a touchdown which the ball has to go past the goaline in the direction your going. a touchdown eqauls 6 points. after a touchdown you have to kick a field goal or go for a two point conversion. You can kick a field goal which equals 3 points. finally you can get a safety which equals two points.

A game consist of 15 minute quaters. There is four quaters in a whole game. After 2 quaters there is a halftime which is about 12 minutes for the teams to take a break and commuicate. If the game is tied after the 4th quater then the teams go to a overtime which is 15 mintues. The first team to score wins. But if either team scores it ends in a tie. well thats pretty much the basics you need to know on how to play. If there is any questions comment and i will answer ur question.

He is Back!

Cliff Lee Signs With Phillies

Cliff Lee has decided to go back to the Philadelphia Phillies, choosing the team over the millions of dollars more offered by the New York Yankees and Texas Rangers. Lee signed a five-year, $120 million contract with the Phillies—the third largest ever for a pitcher. He previously played for the Phillies starting in July 2009, when he helped them reach the World Series. After the playoffs, he was sent to Seattle and wound up in Texas. The Yankees’ final offer was six years, $132 million.

Cliff Lee is back with the Philadelphia Phillies after his deal with the Texas Rangers was up. He had a lot to think about. He had a lot of teams that wanted him like the Yankees and the rangers. He could have signed for millions of more dollars if he would have signed with the Yankees but he choose the Phillies instead.

Now the Phillies have baseballs best pitching rotation with Roy Halladay, Roy Oswalt, and Cole Hamels. Now they added Cliff Lee back to the line up. Two years ago when the phillies had lee they went to the world series but lost too the Yankees. The phillies didn’t sign cliff lee after that season. But now that he has become a free agent again they decided to try and pick him back up. Phillies didn’t want to spend to much money for him so they tried what they could and they got him back.

I think he made the right decision. It shows he is not all about the money he rather win and be in a city that loves him. Im happy for lee and glad he is back.

Being Used For Money

I know why they don't like me because they want the money I have.                                               -Mike Tyson
During Mike Tyson’s career he was used by his promoter Don King. King didn’t care for Tyson like D'Amato did. When D’Amato passed away Tyson just wasn’t the same. D'Amato never used Tyson for his money. But when he passed Mike was on his own and had to choose someone to promote him. As a young black male it was hard to stay away from the money and the fame. Don King took advantage of that and promoted Tyson.
Tyson’s career started to take a down fall because he had no one to care for him like D'Amato. King was all about the money and didn’t care if Tyson got into trouble or not. Tyson wasn’t getting good training and all he wanted to do was party he admitted in his movie Tyson. Tyson is still a hall of famer in boxing but he could have been even better if he had people to look after him instead of just his money.

This Just shows you have to be careful for who you can trust. It can have a bad effect on your career like it did on Mike Tyson. It could be a great lessoned learned.

Second Chances

Michael Vick, former Atlanta Falcon quarterback now playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, was kicked out of the league. He was kicked out of the league on during August of 2007 due to his involvement in illegal dog fighting that he held at his house. Police raided his to find hundreds of dogs buried around his property, dogs in terrible condition. He was placed under arrested and later he pleaded guilty to federal felony charges.  There he had to spend a year and nine months.

At the beginning of the 2009 season he was released and was allowed back in the NFL. The commissioner of the NFL believed in Vick and gave him another chance. The Atlanta Falcons did not want Vick back so they released him. A couple weeks later the Philadelphia Eagles announced that they would sign Vick to a one year deal worth 1.6 million dollars were no was guaranteed. Coach Andy Reid believed in Vick and thought this could be best for both sides.

Since with the Philadelphia Eagles Vick have been visiting high schools and other community gatherings to convince people he was wrong.  He is also talking to kids and young adults that dog fighting is very wrong and what he did he will never forgive himself. Not only is he trying to help out young people around the world he is letting everyone know if you have a second chance don’t ruin it and work harder for what you want.

During the 2010 season Michael Vick was suppose to be a back up to first time starter Kevin Kolb. That’s until he went down in week one. Since then Michael Vick has been the starter and so far he is having the best season he has ever had. In fact he is in the running for the MVP of the league. Many people are starting to fogive him for his wrong doings and realizing he is human, and humans do make mistakes in their lives.
